A MAN who stole two laptops from a north Cambridgeshire home on Christmas Day was today (Thursday) jailed for three years.
Police officers identified Dean Wright, of Little Close, Eye after CCTV footage from nearby businesses showed him breaking into the house, in Eye High Street, at 5pm whilst the owners were out.
Wright, 29, was arrested on December 30 and was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court after pleading guilty.
Detective Inspector Neil Sloan said: “This case highlights the value of the police and community working together to tackle crime.
“I hope this sentence sends out a strong message to others about the consequences of this type of offence.”
