AN 11-year-old boy on his way home from his first day at school yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) was hit by a bus in Papworth.
Emergency medical charity Magpas Helimedix said the boy had suffered serious head injuries in the accident which happened at 4pm.
The boy was said to have been getting off one bus and was then in an accident with a second bus.
The Magpas helicopter was used to get Doctor Simon Lewis and paramedic Dan Read to Papworth where they anaesthetised the boy who was then taken Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
A Magpas spokesman said he was in a serious but stable condition.
