PARENTS of children in Cambridgeshire that are due to start primary school in September have less than a week to submit their applications.
Any child due to start primary school – or transfer to a junior or middle school – must complete the required forms and submit them to Cambridgeshire County Council by January 15.
The council is aware of around 800 families who have not yet applied and risk missing out on a school place if they do not return the completed forms.
There is no automatic transfer to primary, junior or middle school. School places can only be offered to parents who make an application.
These can either be made online at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions or on a paper form available from the county council’s admissions team by telephoning 01223 699200 or by e-mail at admissions@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
