And it was tripping over a bridal gown she was modelling that made show organiser, Natalie Emuss a show-stopper when she fell down and fractured her elbow. It didn’t stop her continuing the walk. Her husband, Paul helped her up and she carried on.
Two medics from Addenbrooke’s breast cancer team, Dr Helen Cox and nurse Sian Goodwin, gave Natalie first aid and she was taken to the hospital where she had surgery on Monday, (October 22.)
All the models, including Natalie, are breast cancer survivors, many joined by their families as they glided down the catwalk. The show, for the past three years at Rigby and Peller in Cambridge’s Grand Arcade, was organised by the shop’s manager, Jenny Mason with Natalie Emuss from Saffron Walden. This was Natalie’s fifth show and the third with the underwear specialist.
This year’s event was dedicated to the memory of a model from the 2016 fashion show, Becky Hadfield from Peterborough who died, aged 39 this year. The women combined for a tribute walk for Becky, all dressed in white outfits from the White Company and carrying white balloons.

They paraded to the song Run by Leona Lewis. The women were visibly moved and the audience were silently fixed on the moment.
Natalie Emuss has been raising money for Addenbrooke’s since 2014 and this year’s funds will be added to the £22,195 raised so far. This year’s money is still being counted and expected to equal or beat last year’s show which raised over £8,000.
Both Natalie and Jenny said it was a great show.
Jenny said: “It was amazing. Apart from Natalie’s elbow being broken, which we didn’t want to happen, we couldn’t have asked for anything better from the models or the audience.”
