Army cadets volunteered their support for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

They were out in force at One Leisure St Ives on Saturday collecting money from sports fans, gym users and
weekend walkers.

The cadets were joined by the leader of Huntingdonshire District Council, Councillor Jason Ablewhite, to sell raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

Cllr Ablewhite said: "It is fantastic that the Cadets and Royal British Legion are at our outdoor centre to collect money for the Poppy Appeal. It follows on from One Leisure's huge poppy painting on the front field by head groundsman, Rob Bradshaw."

Raffle tickets are still on sale at One Leisure St Ives and tickets will be drawn after Remembrance Day.

This week Scouts will be collecting around the site and selling raffle tickets.
