BUSINESSWOMEN in small enterprises, who face particular problems operating in rural areas such as Huntingdonshire, may be about to get together to help one another.

Former business administrator Pauline Isaac, pictured, who started her own coaching business nearly two years ago from her home in Stow Longa, near Kimbolton, is hosting a first networking session for women already running businesses or thinking of starting out.

"The new WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) Huntingdon network is open to any woman who is involved with a rural business, which can be anything from a bed and breakfast to someone making handmade cards, for example," she said.

"The beauty of the network is that it will bring together a huge variety of women who share common issues. WiRE believes that rural is a state of mind not a postcode."
