BUSINESSWOMEN in small enterprises, who face particular problems operating in rural areas such as Huntingdonshire, may be about to get together to help one another.

Former business administrator Pauline Isaac, pictured, who started her own coaching business nearly two years ago from her home in Stow Longa, near Kimbolton, is hosting a first networking session for women already running businesses or thinking of starting out.

"The new WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) Huntingdon network is open to any woman who is involved with a rural business, which can be anything from a bed and breakfast to someone making handmade cards, for example," she said.

"The beauty of the network is that it will bring together a huge variety of women who share common issues. WiRE believes that rural is a state of mind not a postcode."

Confidence coach Mrs Isaac established her own business, Choice Coaching Ltd in 2005, and took on the voluntary role of WiRE network leader to help local women to access business support without the need to travel to Norwich or Peterborough for help.

INFORMATION: The first free meeting of the new WiRE Huntingdon network will take place at 10 The Lane, Stow Longa, Huntingdon, on Wednesday, April 18, from 7pm to 9pm. For further information or to confirm attendance contact Pauline on 01480 860308 or e-mail pauline@choicecoaching.ltd.uk.
