A STUDENT from St Neots has won a prestigious scholarship for agricultural engineering at one of the country's leading agricultural colleges.
Jonathan Bruce, left, from Stirtloe, who is in his first year studying for a BEng in engineering design and development at Harper Adams University College, in Shropshire, has been awarded the McConnel Scholarship for Agricultural Engineering. The prize was presented at an award ceremony by Geoff Davies, right, managing director of the Alamo Group Europe, McConnel's parent company.
Dr Peter Darkins, senior lecturer in engineering at the college, said: "It is vitally important to build academic and industry links to support and encourage our future professionals.
"Jonathan is a very worthy scholar and has shown that he has the ability and the enthusiasm to become a leader in his chosen profession.
