Coffee chain Starbucks has welcomed customers to its first drive thru store at Brampton Hut services.
The café, which opened on Saturday, will be operated by franchise partner, 23.5 Degrees Limited, and has created 25 new jobs for the local area.
Gillian Skan, senior operations manager at Starbucks UK, said: “Huntingdon is a fantastic place for Starbucks, and we’re very much looking forward to opening the area’s first Drive Thru. We’re delighted to build on our partnership with 23.5 Degrees Limited, who share our commitment to offering our customers first class service and a great cup of coffee.”
The team at the store will be supporting two local charities, and will be raising funds to help events for Home Start Huntingdonshire, along with donating funds to build a sensory garden at children’s home, Woodland Lodge, in Cambridge.
Frederike Rhodes, project manager at 23.5 Degrees Limited, said: “We are very excited to be opening the first Starbucks Drive Thru in the area. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the store and providing a relaxing space for customers to take a break from their journey. With our two new charity partnerships, we’re excited to start fundraising and strengthening our bond with the community here.”
