SAWTRY residents may not want the sex shop that opens in the village on Friday morning, but they may be mollified by the offer of a discount on its wares.
The Pulse and Cocktails outlet – the terms of the licence mean the company is not allowed to call it ‘the Sawtry Sex Shop, though most customers probably will – is offering villagers a 20 per cent discount for the first two weeks of operation.
Director Graham Kidd, who expects to supervise the opening of the Sawtry shop personally mid-morning on Friday, told The Hunts Post: “We want residents in to show them that it will not be as they fear.
“Obviously, they will need something with their address on to show that they live in the village, but we believe that, once they have been in, they will see there’s nothing to be alarmed about.”
