TWENTY-three new jobs will be created when Screwfix, the UK's largest direct and online supplier of trade tools, opens a trade counter in Huntingdon.
The counter will be opened at Unit 2, the Bridge Centre on St Peter's Road during a special launch weekend starting at 10am on Friday, March 26.
Tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts in Huntingdon will now have access to more than 11,000 tools, accessories and hardware products at trade prices.
Steve Matthews, branch manager, said: "This is our first branch in Huntingdon and is great news for the region - creating 23 jobs locally and introducing Screwfix to the town.
"Tradesmen will have much greater access to all the trade essentials they need, which aside from being welcomed by homeowners who rely on Huntingdon's professionals, means they won't have to travel far to reach their nearest Screwfix store."
Customers will receive a 10 per cent discount on their first order placed at the launch weekend and anyone with an order over 40 will receive a free Screwfix t-shirt.
There will also be demonstrations of the latest products from Dewalt, Makita and Rubi UK and the chance to win 100 worth of Screwfix vouchers.
