The Cambridge Golf and Conference Centre in Hemingford Abbots has been awarded RangeMark accreditation.
The Cambridge Golf and Conference Centre in Hemingford Abbots has been awarded RangeMark accreditation, in recognition of its efforts in promoting golf to adults and children.
The CGCC, a Hunts Post Business Award winner, is the only driving range in East Anglia to have received the award, which is bestowed by the English Golf Union and English Women’s Golf Association. The centre was praised for its positive initiatives such as golf taster sessions and its structured junior coaching programme.
Peter Durham, director of Cambridge Golf and Conference Centre, said: “Gaining the RangeMark accreditation is a great reward for the efforts we have put into continually improving and maintaining our facilities and services.
“To be the only range in East Anglia to have the Range Mark accreditation I think shows our commitment to developing the game of golf. This of course could not be done without the efforts of our coaching staff, particularly director Jamie Donaldson and Tim Button of the John Letters Academy.”
