AWARD-winning Huntingdon-based Pursuit Dynamics (PDX) has announced the appointment of Heinz-Jürgen Kroner as general manager of its brewing and food line of business. He will start at PDX in October.

Mr Kroner, 46, brings significant experience of developing and commercialising brewing, beverages and food technologies, having spent 12 years at GEA Group AG, one of the leading global system providers for food and energy processes, PDX said.

He has held a number of senior leadership positions at GEA, most recently CEO of GEA Brewery Systems (formerly Hupmann AG), and has been working in the sector for over 20 years.

Mr Kroner graduated from the Technical University of Munich, a leading institution in the field of brewing and engineering.

He will lead PDX’s brewing and food division, with overall responsibility for the roll-out of the PDX technology and for developing the strategy in these sectors. He will also sit on PDX’s management board as senior vice-president, and will report directly to PDX CEO Roel Pieper.

Mr Pieper said: “This appointment is a major coup for PDX. Jürgen brings with him unique experience of commercialising brewing and food technologies from his time at GEA and he is the best qualified candidate that we could have found.”
