WORLD-renowned percussionist Evelyn Glennie, who recently announced the acquisition of premises in Huntingdon as a headquarters for her business and home to the hundreds of musical instruments in her collection, will teach Cambridgeshire business leaders the importance of listening in an inspirational talk on Entrepreneurial Spirit later this month.

Dame Evelyn, who lost her hearing when she was twelve years old and went on to achieve international acclaim as a musician, will illustrate her talk with music, including a performance on one of the world’s oldest musical instruments, the marimba.

Some of the charities to benefit from this event include two supported by Dame Evelyn, the East Anglian Children’s Hospice and Able Child Africa.

The event, starting at 6pm on Thursday September 29, will take place at Scotsdales Garden Centre, Great Shelford.
