THE Huntingdon branch of Clark's Shoes has moved from St Benedict's Court after more than 30 years. The new shop, in Chequers Court premises formerly occupied by stationer Grafton Projects, opened its doors in mid-January after a short refurbishment and fit-out.
Landlord Churchmanor Estates said recent footfall figures showed Huntingdon had bucked the national retail trend, showing a five per cent increase on 2008 compared with a six per cent fall nationally. "Chequers Court remains the prime pitch in the town, and we are delighted to attract another quality occupier," said Churchmanor director Howard White.
