No prizes for speed but legs van turns heads
HUNTINGDON-based company Top Hex Ltd has won the prestigious “Best Vehicle Graphics Project” award with its TheatreCom van.
The van is emblazoned with the legs of various dancers including ballet, ballroom and tap on a stage lit vividly by the firm’s new TheatreCom LED stage lights.
Top Hex, based at Hinchingbrooke Business Park, designs and manufactures electronic equipment, and launched the TheatreCom backstage intercom two years ago. The product range is about to be extended further with a portable LED stage lighting kit.
The van portrays the message that, whatever the style of performance, TheatreCom, has the solution, said managing director Gary Weston.
“I was delighted and somewhat surprised that we won. It will never win any awards for speed, so it is great that the judges liked its appearance.”

The judges praised the impact of the design and the depth of the colours, all contributing to a vehicle graphic that turns heads.
Gary agrees. “When we took delivery of the van, we noticed an immediate increase in the number of visitors to our website, which is great for the TheatreCom brand,” he said
