NHS Cambridgeshire is set to move its headquarters into the centre of Cambridge from Monday. The primary care trust said its move had become necessary because the existing accommodation, which is split across three offices, is no longer fit for purpose.

The primary care trust said its move had become necessary because the existing accommodation, which is split across three offices, is no longer fit for purpose. The Ida Darwin site in Fulbourn, where NHS Cambridgeshire has been based since its creation in October 2006, is also earmarked for redevelopment.
Chief executive Chris Banks said: "We look forward to welcoming visitors to our new offices over the coming months."
NHS Cambridgeshire spends around �700million a year buying health care services for a population of 600,000 across Cambridgeshire.
