CAMBOURNE-based wireless telecoms energy-efficiency company Nujira has recruited Jeremy Hendy as vice-president of sales and marketing. He brings Nujira over 20 years' experience of semiconductor sales and marketing across multiple technologies for wireless communication and digital video. Chief executive Tim Haynes said: "Nujira Coolteq is becoming the energy optimisation technology of choice for wireless transmissions in cellular and broadcast applications. Jeremy's objective is to strengthen our presence in these established markets, continue the development of our handset business, and build a similar position in public safety and defence, a fourth market with considerable potential for our Coolteq products." Hendy added: "Nujira is a world leader in wireless power efficiency and the first to commercialise products based on High Accuracy Tracking technology. Now in its commercial phase, the company is making rapid progress and has announced significant customer engagements for its cellular base station, broadcast transmitter and handset technologies. I am looking forward to the opportunity to build on its success, and am excited about taking Nujira's products into new markets." Jeremy Hendy was most recently marketing director of wireless USB start-up Artimi, and was previously VP Marketing for Aspex Semiconductor, a chip company focused on HD video compression. Before joining Aspex, Hendy spent 10 years leading the IC design and IP licensing activities of Cambridge design house Symbionics. He started his career with Texas Instruments, developing DSP software and ASICs for speech coding and wireless communications, and holds a first class honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
