A ST NEOTS company that prides itself on speaking somebody else’s language is expanding and re-branding.

Life Plus Europe, regional subsidiary of a US parent, sells and distributes nutritional supplements throughout Europe directly to consumers.

And last week Huntingdon MP and Justice Minister was on hand for the official opening of the company’s premises in Eaton Socon.

Life Plus Europe Ltd was established in St Neots in 1996. Since the arrival of managing director Malcolm Vincent 10 years ago sales have grown nine-fold, and 95 per cent are exported to other European countries.

Many of the firm’s 75 employees have been with Life Plus Europe for more than 10 years, and the company prides itself on the success of its career development.

“Two members of our team started their career with Life Plus in our shipping department, packing boxes,” said HR manager Denise Connolly. “One is now responsible for organising three events each year in Germany for as many as 3,000 people, and the other has been trained in computer skills and now provides customer service support in the contact centre.”

The other strength is polyglottal. “We have a team of great people, made up of 14 nationalities who speak a total of 14 languages. We support our customers with freephone numbers throughout Europe that are answered here in St Neots.”
