HUNTINGDON-based chartered accountants Ensors have joined CPA Associates International (CPAAI), a worldwide association of independent accounting and business consulting firms.

Danny Clifford, Ensors’ managing partner, said: “We are now able to offer our clients in the UK access to worldwide expertise and advice.

“As the world gets smaller and advances in technology encourage businesses to expand their cross border activities, it is essential to be on hand with up-to-date, quality advice to support clients.

“In the UK alone we have an ever-increasing quantity and complexity of accounting and taxation legislation for which we have specialists providing clients with the highest levels of service and advice. We are now able to provide this level of service across the globe.”

Nicki Cole, CPAAI regional manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa added: “The CPA EMEA region is going through a dynamic phase, and the addition of Ensors to our membership brings strength and high level expertise from the UK to the members in our region and the association as a whole.”

Ensors are hosting a finance directors’ briefing on Wednesday December 8 at the Trinity Centre, at Cambridge Science Park.

With an eye to planning and forecasting for 2011/12, speakers include Robert Leggett, Ensors’ corporate tax partner, who will review the key taxation issues, and Dan Smith, head of Ensors financial planning, who will provide a summary of the changes to employees’ pensions and employers’ obligations.

In addition, Barclays Bank will provide an overview of the regional economy and discuss what might be expected over the next 18 months.
