A tourist guide produced by Huntingdonshire District Council has been nominated for a national award. It is up against guides from the National Trust and English Heritage.
Readers of the Group Travel Organiser magazine have voted for the Huntingdonshire guide as one of six finalists to be shortlisted. The winner will be announced next month.
The awards ceremony will be hosted by BBC weather forecaster Carol Kirkwood at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Portman Square, London on June 22.
Group Travel Organiser has 10,000 readers who were asked to name the guide they found most helpful in planning a group travel trip.
Andrew Hansard, the district council's executive councillor for policy and strategic services, said: "We are thrilled to be nominated for this award, especially as our guide has been voted for by the magazine's readers, all of whom are potential visitors to Huntingdonshire.
I am delighted that it has stood out among the hundreds of guides available."
Pictured with the guide are HDC's Patricia Harnett and Donna Rockett.
