HUNTINGDONSHIRE companies had their first chance to enter the district's most prestigious business awards at a new district exhibition held on Thursday.
The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards, which have now been running for 10 years with backing from Huntingdonshire District Council, showcase the finest, most successful and most innovative among the thousands of small businesses that make up 90 per cent of the district's economy.
They also celebrate major contributions made by individuals to their employer's success, with additional categories for sustainable development, Internet, small firms and Huntingdonshire's employer of the year.
First chance to enter the 2007 awards will be at the Huntingdonshire Business-to-Business Exhibition at Wood Green Animal Shelter tomorrow afternoon and evening. The free event is jointly sponsored by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce and the Huntingdonshire branch of the Federation of Small Businesses.
