A FREE workshop on how to set up as a market trader is being held in Huntingdon on May 14.
The workshop is being run by Business Link, in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council, at Eastfield House, Latham Road, from 9am until noon and again on June 17 from 6pm to 9pm.
The workshop will cover the implications of becoming self-employed, rules and regulations, and tax, national insurance and VAT issues.
Workshop leader Alan Rimmer, enterprise awareness manager at Business Link, said: "The possibilities for a market stall business are endless, from food to crafts and from clothes to electronics and everything in between. Many people are now also looking at market stalls as a good way to promote their services, such as computer and IT support, picture framing or photography.
"Running a market stall could be the best option for anyone who is thinking of taking the plunge and becoming self-employed."
