HUNTINGDONSHIRE businesses are being offered the chance to exhibit at or attend and network at a lunchtime business fair later this month – and give their backing to a key local charity at the same time.

The event, from noon until 2pm on Wednesday November 24 at the MS Therapy Centre, in Hartford, is sponsored by Huntingdon Business Network International. Refreshments will be available from the small café.

Huntingdon BNI is hosting the event to help raise awareness of the centre and the services it offers.

“We invite business people to learn more about the advantages of Business Network International (BNI) and how this networking group can help increase referrals and contacts,” said spokesman Steve Tuffin.

“Local business people meet regularly to network, learn valuable marketing skills and develop strong relationships to help each other build their businesses. BNI members enjoy events, training and access to resources of the global BNI organisation.”

The Huntingdon, Peterborough and Cambridge MS Therapy Centre is an independent charity based at Bradbury House in Mayfield Road, and run by a board of trustees.

Although primarily for treating and providing information about multiple sclerosis, the centre also helps people who suffer from Parkinson’s disease, muscular dystrophy, strokes and more.

The centre offers a wide range of complementary therapies, chair-based exercise and yoga classes. Funds for the centre come from membership fees, donations and volunteer fundraising to meet ever increasing running costs.

In addition to its core therapy work, the centre offers meeting and conference facilities, including audio-visual and catering facilities.
