HUNTINGDON-based chartered accountancy firm George Hay has enhanced its existing book-keeping service to business clients by moving to the latest online accounting software package.

The firm is now using KashFlow, cloud computing software that enables clients to keep an eye on their business’s financial position without having to install and regularly update costly software directly onto their office computers.

“Because KashFlow is on line, it enables clients to keep better track of their financial position and manage their book-keeping whenever they have access to the internet, and not just when they are at their desks,” a spokesman said.

“It also enables accountants to talk to clients and update records in real time. Accountants can also pinpoint any potential issues likely to arise and act immediately, advising clients on ways to remedy any problems before they happen.

“All records held on the system are stored behind a state of the art encryption system that prevents data from being accessed or passed on without the user’s permission.”

Toni Hunter, partner at George Hay, added: “KashFlow is extremely easy to use and means we no longer have to wait for clients to send in reams of paperwork or e-mail back-ups.”
