KIMBOLTON-based House of Flags is able to offer its customers large format printing after installation of their new machine.

The 3.2metre printer, which can print up to 62sqm an hour, was in action for the first time on Monday (January 21) enabling the flag manufacturers to expand their appeal that was limited to a small range of materials on the previous in-house 2m printer.

Orders for products such as crowd flags and giant shirts will be turned around quicker and the firm’s customers will be able to choose from a wider range of materials including polymesh for barrier banners, spun for traditional flags, and digi stretch, which is used for folding pop-ups.

Chris Reynolds, operations manager, said: “The increased capacity will mean we can turn around large orders much more quickly, without compromising on quality.

“We have a whole range of additional materials we will be testing. The increased possibilities for us as a company and for our customers is very exciting.”

Donna Geranio, managing director, added: “This is the biggest machine investment we have made and the decision was not taken lightly.

“We worked with the developers for more than eight months to ensure the machine was going to print at the right price and still meet the quality House of Flags expects.

“We wanted to ensure we could still offer the ultimate delivery service to our customers. Once we were confident that all of these objectives would be achieved, we placed the order.”
