A GODMANCHESTER man has been elected to the board of management of Muir Group Housing Association, the social landlord.

Chris Mosley will represent the south as a resident member of the association’s board following its AGM in September.

“As a resident of a Muir Group Housing property, I am eager to listen to other residents’ views and do whatever I can to ensure that residents’ issues, concerns and vision for the future are heard,” he said.

As well as having residents on its board of management Muir Group Housing has also created two regional resident forums.

The forums – made up of around 27 residents representing the north and south – have been shaped by residents who decided the rules and how they will operate.

“Our residents are at the heart of everything we do at Muir Group Housing, and they are hugely important in shaping the service we provide,” said chief executive John Bellis.

“Becoming a member of the board or forum is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and have a real impact on your community.”
