EXPORT experts will be teaching Cambridgeshire businesses how to maximise their overseas opportunities at an event organised by the O4RB business group and the Global Trade Network.

In association with UKTI, the event at the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre at Scotsdales Garden Centre in Great Shelford on September 24 will be aimed at businesses of all sizes looking to explore opportunities locally and abroad.

Attenders will be able to network, book one-to-one advice sessions and speak with experts, including brand consultant James Hammond, author of the best-selling Branding Your Business.

The event comes as the Government is calling on businesses to export to boost the economy.

David Earp, international trade adviser at UKTI, said: “The East of England already has a proven track record of export success, having the third-highest number of exporters in the country.

“The latest international trade statistics issued by HM Revenue & Customs show that East of England businesses are already helping to lead the country to economic recovery – there’s never been a better time to listen to the experts.”

Bob Garbett, founder of O4RB, said: “For some reason businesses seem to think of exporting as just for manufacturers, but this country needs to create wealth, and exporting is definitely the way ahead.”
