HUNTINGDONSHIRE companies can get free advice on how to keep going and prosper in the current economic climate, at a free breakfast seminar in St Neots on Tuesday.

The event, sponsored by St Neots chartered accounts Streets and including presentations by Barclays Bank and Huntingdonshire solicitors Leeds Day, takes place at Wyboston Lakes.

Streets’ marketing partner James Pinchbeck said: “It would be an understatement to say that it is easy running, let alone growing, a business in the current climate. Many, if not all, businesses are experiencing pressures on margins, increased tax demands and a tightening of finance – all this at a time when there seems to be more and more legislation affecting the running of our businesses.”

Alan Marston, relationship director Barclays Corporate, Peterborough and Cambridge, will explain types of funding options and how to make a successful application for cash.

Streets tax partner Richard Couchman will look at the-tax saving and planning opportunities that can help businesses and their owners improve their performance, overall financial returns and help improve cash flow.

And solicitor Sara Lawson, from Leeds Day, will examine the legal implications of different business structures, and provide an update on employment law and property law affecting small businesses.

INFORMATION: The event, on Tuesday November 9, is at the Robinson Centre at Wyboston Lakes, Great North Road, Wyboston, MK44 3AL, from 7.45am until 9.30am. To book a place e-mail alovegrove@streetsweb.co.uk or telephone 01480 373000.
