CUSTOMER demand for day meeting facilities that can be booked for up to a year ahead has been filled by an initiative from Wyboston Lakes, set in a 350-acre rural site near St Neots.
The custom-designed Fairways Suite, which is part of the Lakes Centre, has recently been refurbished to accommodate day meetings from five to 150 delegates, and can now be booked from six weeks to 12 months ahead.
Wyboston's sales and marketing director, Clive Bache, explained: "Many of our clients wanted to book ahead for day meetings but were finding that many venues were only prepared to book six weeks in advance. This meant that those who had already scheduled their 2007 meetings diary were frustrated at not being able to secure their chosen dates with the venue.
"They told us they wanted all-inclusive meetings packages, which could be booked up to a year in advance. We listened to their needs and the Fairways Suite was the result."
He added that the Fairways Suite was equipped to the highest standard, with broadband as standard in every room.
"It has been custom designed to provide a range of room sizes, from those wanting small syndicate meetings to a showcase meeting room, which can accommodate a theatre-style presentation for up to 150 delegates.

"It would be ideal for use as an assessment centre or development centre owing to the large number of syndicate rooms close to the main meeting room."
Mr Bache said: "Of course, if clients wish to book six weeks in advance they still can.
