THE deadline to enter The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards has been extended, allowing additional time for the district's best businesses to compete for one of the coveted awards.
The event has now been celebrating and promoting excellence in business across the county for nearly a decade.
Each year there is an amazing level of response from Huntingdonshire's business community - from firms in Kimbolton and St Neots, right across to Huntingdon, St Ives and Ramsey.
This year is no exception, with the awards attracting attention from varied business sectors.
Carol Gray, who is co-ordinating the award entries, said: "Companies have been very keen to see their hard work recognised.
"It's a great opportunity for companies to reward their staff, celebrate their success and raise the profile throughout the district and beyond.
"Due to the excitement directed towards the awards this year, we have decided to extend the deadline to allow more companies to get involved and showcase the individual and collective achievement of businesses in Huntingdonshire."
Businesses now have an additional two weeks to complete their entry forms, which are available through The Hunts Post website, www.huntspost.co.uk.
If you believe your business, your staff or your ideas are among the best in Huntingdonshire, then these awards will be for you.
Companies large and small have until 5pm on Wednesday, September 13, to complete their entries.
There are nine categories - businesses can enter as many as they wish - including the coveted Business of the Year Award.
Regardless of the firm's size or turnover, winning can reward a star employee, recognise an innovative product or service, gain positive publicity as an employer and build team spirit and motivation.
The awards are sponsored by a host of local companies all committed to developing excellence within the business community.
They are open to any company within Huntingdonshire and entry is free. Applications can be made either online at www.cambs24.co.uk/businessawards or by contacting Carol on 01763 250234 or email@example.com.
The website also includes information about the category criteria, tips on how to enter and filling out your application form and details about the gala awards evening.
However, all entries must be received by Wednesday, September 13.
Tickets for the awards evening, which takes place on Friday, November 10, are now on sale.
Held at Burgess Hall in St Ives, The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards will culminate in a glittering evening in which winners will be announced and presented with their awards.
Tickets are limited so early booking is advisable. Tickets can be booked online or by contacting Carol Gray on 01763 245241.
