The Huntingdonshire Business Fair will take place on Thursday, April 3.

More than 500 people visited last year's event at Wood Green Animal Shelter, Godmanchester, dubbed as the district's premier business-to-business exhibition, which attracted more than 120 stallholders - the largest number in its history.

The fair, which is run by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce and Huntingdonshire Federation of Small Businesses and supported by the Alconbury Weald Campus, Borney UK, Purple Haze and The Hunts Post, is a great opportunity for staff to promote their companies, meet other firms and make valuable business contacts.

Admission is free and visitors can take advantage of meeting new contacts as well as benefit from a variety of free seminars and pick up new ideas to help boost their businesses.

This year businesses can choose a stand location for the first time for £30. There are three sized-spaces available - 2sqm, 2mx4m and 2mx6m - ranging from £70 to £150 plus VAT for members and £95 to £180 plus VAT for non-members.

Malcolm Lyons, chairman of the Huntingdonshire FSB, said: "We now have an established business fair that is a very prestigious event where lots of business can meet together and lots of business is generated from it.

"Last year was very good, we had more than 120 businesses and the footfall was more than 500, which is mainly people from the business fraternity.

"I think it's an important hub for businesses to visit. If you went last year you would have felt the buzz and I've been to fairs where there has been nothing in the air. Where there's a buzz, there is business.

"It shows the Huntingdonshire economy is promising. Huntingdonshire is doing well and will do better this year with plans at Alconbury Weald, and in St Neots, Huntingdon and St Ives."
