THE lease of one of Huntingdonshire's most picturesque village gastro-pubs has been sold. The recently-restored 17th century Grade II-listed Three Horseshoes on Lord de Ramsey's Abbots Ripton Hall estate is being taken over by Ronan McLister, who has sold his interest in the Fort St George in Midsummer Common, Cambridge. The seller, Ian Campbell, disposed of the balance of the 2004 20-year lease through the Ipswich office of property agents Christie and Company for an undisclosed sum. The asking price had been for offers over £147,000. The pub consists of a lounge bar and two snugs, a 70-cover restaurant, owner's accommodation and six en-suite letting rooms.
