Huntingdonshire District Council supports the awards for the ninth consecutive year.

Council leader Ian Bates said: "The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards enable the hard work put in by businesses to be recognised. These awards raise the profile of local businesses and reward hard work, achievement and success. They are important not only to the companies that enter, but to their customers and staff.

"The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards help to raise the profile of the district - putting it on the map in its own right."

Economic development manager, Corrine Garbett, added: "We have a good track record of steady economic growth in the district and I am proud of the district council's support to develop the local economy through services and initiatives.

The council has a one-stop approach to enquiries from businesses, through its economic development service, and endeavours to provide help and support to businesses large and small, as well as encourage the economic vitality of the district's town centres.
