WYBOSTON Lakes, the 350-acre conference and leisure centre near St Neots, has been awarded the coveted Hospitality Assured accreditation, an internationally recognised standard of excellence, for the seventh consecutive year. It is believed to be one of the longest running accreditations since HA(M) was founded. Venues are evaluated annually on 10 areas of competence, including business goals, service standards, staff training and customer service improvement. Each category is awarded a percentage and the site must achieve a minimum overall score of 65 per cent to achieve the standard. Wyboston achieved 77.2 per cent against a 2005 average for conference centres of 69.6 per cent, which places it in the top five conference venues in the country. Wyboston, the largest privately owned conference venue in northern Europe, scored highly in customer satisfaction and service delivery as well as business and operational planning, staff training and development. Operations director Barry Stonham said: " This award is a recognised mark of quality and demonstrates that we have made a commitment to provide the very best service we can, not just occasionally, but consistently. The high score awarded reflects the enthusiasm, hard work and commitment to our customers by every member of staff at Wyboston Lakes.
