MOBILE content retail specialist FoneStarz, based in St Ives, has appointed Keith O'Brien, former Vodafone Australia head of content and previously head of music at Vodafone UK, as the company's new senior vice-president/general manager operator/on-portal.

His task will be to develop FoneStarz's 42 current channels and build on the company's content portfolio to expand its extensive global network.

The appointment of such a high-profile character, whose experience and knowledge are renowned within the industry, consolidates the company's growing reputation and position within the international mobile market, the company claims.

Mr O'Brien, pictured, said: "For the last five years in my position at Vodafone I have been a customer of FoneStarz and I have seen the company's profile and recognition as a market leader prosper. I'm delighted to join the company at a very exciting time and I look forward to building on its past successes and extending its customer network in both new and exiting international markets".
