Wyboston Lakes, near St Neots, was one of the first locations in the region to celebrate the new season's crop of Beaujolais Nouveau. Customers of the Waterfront Restaurant/Bar sampled the 2006 vintage wine, to which they were introduced by some of the conference centre's French staff.

Olivier Six, operations director, said: "Our customers thoroughly enjoyed the day which was tinged with a flavour of France. Our French waiters really got into the spirit of the day, offering French bread and a wheel of Brie to our guests to complement the wine."
