FORMER Hunts Post Business Award winner Le Mark has developed a new self-fusing super repair tape that it says will repair anything from a burst water pipe to a car exhaust.

The Houghton-based firm says its Incredible Kraken Tape is made from silicone, is completely adhesive-free and works using fusion technology.

The company spent 18 months working with its North American partner to bring this to the European market after Kraken Tape spent many months progressing through UK test laboratories to ensure it met European standards.

"This unique tape will repair an incredible selection of materials. As long as the tape can wrap and connect surface-to-surface with itself, it will join," said Le Mark's managing director Stuart Gibbons, a former chairman of Huntingdonshire Chamber of Commerce.

"In these difficult economic times it's great to be able to offer a product that helps you 'fix it yourself' and saves you money," he added. "Kraken Tape has an incredible temperature range, sealing leaks from as low as -60 degC to +260 degC. This makes it a great tool-box tape for the car, motor home or caravan."
