GRAHAME Nix, former chief operating officer of Marshall Aerospace, is the new chairman of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership.

Mr Nix is a well-regarded local businessman with over 30 years’ experience coupled with strong links to a wide range of different sectors and companies.

In addition to his position with Marshall Aerospace, he was chairman of Aeropeople Limited until last year, before leaving to run his own consulting company.

Mark Reeve, former interim chairman of the LEP, said: “Grahame stood out to the appointments panel not only because of his experience and can do approach, but also because of his strong links with a wide range of our stakeholders – including Government, business representative groups and local organisations.”

Mr Nix added: “We have firm foundations in place, and can now focus on breaking down the key barriers to economic growth that our area faces.”
