THE Waterfront Brasserie at Wyboston Lakes has joined the top 10 per cent of UK restaurants by winning an AA rosette.

The Mayor of St Neots, Gordon Thorpe, and his wife Peggy, presented the prestigious award to chef Leigh Morris and restaurant manager Rickie Kitt las week.

By winning the award, The Waterfront Brasserie joins a elite group of 10 per cent of UK restaurants which hold the rosette.

Olivier Six, operations director at Wyboston Lakes, said: “We are delighted with this achievement as very few local restaurants have achieved such recognition.

“Earlier this year we launched our 2010 menu and introduced a talented new team led by chef Leigh Morris and restaurant manager Rickie Kitt. This award is testament to the world-class food and high standards of service which they consistently deliver.

“We will continue to build on this success to maintain our highly regarded culinary reputation.”

Cllr Thorpe said: “I have watched the development of Wyboston Lakes with interest over many years and congratulate the team on winning this award.

“It is evident that much inward investment has taken place to develop the site into a high quality restaurant, hotel, conference and leisure centre with great places to entertain.

“It is very encouraging to see a business thrive and expand and I congratulate the whole team at Wyboston Lakes but on this occasion, single out Rickie and Leigh for their efforts with The Waterfront Brasserie.”
