HUNTINGDONSHIRE businesses that have collaborated with a university on a low carbon project now have the chance to win 5,000 to continue work to further boost the company's green credentials.

i10, the business-to-university support service in the East of England, has created a Low Carbon Collaboration Award to celebrate the innovative work that is being carried out by companies to reduce their carbon footprint, using the wealth of experience and research carried out by students and academics at local universities and higher education institutes.

The award-winning business will not only be given the accolade of setting a low carbon industry standard, but will also be presented with a 5,000 voucher to carry out further university collaboration work.

The voucher could be used for a variety of different knowledge transfer projects including consultancy, research and development, facility hire or low carbon courses and training, the organisers say.
