A St Neots company raised £175 for the Neuro Foundation by organising a raffle.

Lifelong Kitchens, based in Eaton Ford Green, opened its doors to the public on February 11 to celebrate the launch of a new showroom.

As part of the event, visitors were treated to a barbecue and champagne and a fundraising raffle was also held, with a number of prizes on offer, including a meal for two at Il Girasole and a basket of produce from Hamilton's Greengrocers.

More than 100 people attended on the day and the raffle proved particularly popular. The winning tickets were drawn by Emilio Saavedra, from Eaton Ford, who has a genetic condition called neuroflbromatosis, which creates tumours on the nerves.

Emilio, his family, and friends have raised thousands of pounds for the Neuro Foundation, and added another £175.10 thanks to the generosity of visitors to the opening event.
