The brother of Natalie Scotchford, who died after a van crashed into the River Nene, appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Nathan Scotchford, 23, of Daintree Road, Ramsey, has been charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed alcohol limit. Miss Scotchford, 19, of Blenheim Road, Ramsey, was travelling in a Ford Transit Connect van at about 4am on July 6 when it left St Mary’s Road, Ramsey St Mary’s, and entered the Rived Nene.
Mr Scotchford was committed to Peterborough Crown Court for a hearing on Tuesday.
