Members of the BRJ Club volunteered to act as marshals for the Hinchingbrooke Parkrun event held on September 1, all whilst wearing vests sporting the logo of the club’s nominated charity, Myaware.

UK-based, Myaware supports those suffering with the autoimmune disease, myasthenia gravis.

There was a guest speaker from Myaware at the Parkrun as well as balloons, plenty of cake and a visit from Olympian Jess Varley. More than £100 was raised on the day for Myaware, taking the current total that the club has raised so far to more than £1,200.

As well as supporting and raising awareness for Myaware on the day, members of the club, along with Ms Varley, handed over last year’s charity fundraising funds - some £3,650 - to the Step Young Carers Trust.
