A splash of pink popped up in Huntingdon at the weekend as dozens of dancers took part in a flash mob for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Organised by Debra Cossey-Mowle, from Debs Zumba, the impromptu dance was held to get the message out there, to both men and women, to check themselves and, if in doubt, see a GP.

“The flash mob went really well and people really seemed to enjoy what we were doing, hopefully we managed to get the message out there to people,” said Debra.

“I think a lot of people were surprised when the music started and then more of my Zumba goers started to join in.”

As a part of the event those who took part had donned their best pink outfits and had designed t-shirts with messages and handprints to make them stand out from the crowds.

The flash mob was helped by the Woodlands Breast Cancer Support Group who supplied leaflets and balloons to give out to passers-by.
