After 10 years, outdoor space at Eynesbury Church of England Primary School has finally been given a makeover, with a log cabin, fire pit, and canopy completing its new look.

After launching a fundraising campaign – the Help Me Grow project - the school received donations from nearby companies, with 15 colleagues from Bosch Rexroth taking part in the construction day.

Other volunteers like teachers and family members also got their hands dirty on September 9, building the forest school base camp and installing a log circle and pergola.

Lesley Pruden, nursery teacher and head of the project, said: “In the digital age we live in, we strongly believe that time spent outdoors is crucial in developing our children into fully-rounded individuals.

“We are so grateful for the support and generosity we have received so far from local businesses, with special thanks to staff at Bosch Rexroth who donated both time and money to our project.

“We can’t wait to see the children’s faces when they see the difference made to the garden.”
