Visitors to this year’s Brampton Fete enjoyed glorious weather and a feast of fun and games.
The event, returning after last year’s successful inaugural fete, saw hundreds of people descend on the village to enjoy an array of craft stalls and games, tug-of-war, children’s races, dance displays, a dog show, and much more besides.
Members of the Brampton Events group organised the fete, which took place on June 30.
Chairman Tina Sacks said: “It was a beautiful day, we were very lucky to have had such lovely weather and what was nice about it was seeing people turn up with their picnic blankets and stay around for the whole afternoon.
“We were trying to include quite a vintage feel to this year’s fete. We had a hoopla and a splat the rat, things like that, but we were also equally trying to recognise the anniversary of the founding of the RAF, 100 years of the suffragettes, and the end of the First World War as well, so there was lots going on.”
Funds raised at the fete will go towards future events hosted by the organisers, who also arrange the village’s Christmas lights switch-on.
