Buckfest organisers promised this year’s festival would be even bigger and better – and it certainly delivered.

Since its inception in 2010, the event, which was started by Buckden man Rick Holden, has grown from four bands to this year hosting 22 bands, across three stages, delivering an array of sound.

One of the organisers, Nicky Warnock said: “The whole event was fantastic, we had our best attendance yet as we had sold out.

“There was something for everyone – there was a really family feeling about the whole festival.”

This year the festival also had its first tribute band as its headline act with RockQ keeping the crowds rocking out until the late hours to classic Queen songs.

Also on the Buckden village field there was a host of activities including a Playbus for children, a dance tent playing a variety of beats, as well as a samba band and stalls selling food and drink.

Money raised from the festival will be donated to the Little Miracles charity and The Elouise Keeling Asthma Trust.
