The Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell’s annual Vaudeville Evening was hailed “the best yet” by show organisers.
The event took place at Buckden Village Hall last Friday and saw a packed line up of acts take to the stage, including dancers, singers, choirs, and even a ventriloquist.
Dee Wormald, rotary club member and show producer, said: “It was the best show yet in terms of value for money. We had singers from the West End, we had dancers, solo acts, live bands, and the Upwood Ukeleles. It was a fabulous evening, there’s no doubt about it.”
Mrs Wormald said the show was a sell-out, with about 170 attending the third instalment of the event.
More than £1,500 was raised on the night, a portion of which will be donated to Dreamdrops, which funds equipment for children using the Holly Ward at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
