A woman was assaulted in St Ives after attempting to stop a group from leaving a shop without paying.
The incident reportedly took place on the afternoon of last Thursday (October 25) with three women challenged as they tried to leave a premises in Bridge Street without paying for the services they had received.
According to police, a member of staff was assaulted and suffered “cuts and bruising to her face”.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: “Police were called to reports of an assault in Bridge Street, St Ives.
“The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting: 35/40272/18.”
