ARSONISTS targeted a derelict building at RAF Upwood on Friday (March 18).
Crews from crews from Ramsey, Huntingdon and Stanground, a water carrier from Huntingdon, a turntable ladder from Dogsthorpe and a rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe were called to the fire at 7.30am.
The fire was burning in the first floor and roof of the building, and around 30 per cent of the 100m x 80m building was affected by the fire.
Firefighters tackled the fire using three jets and a hose reel from the turntable ladder. Crews also created fire breaks in the roof to stop the fire spreading. They returned to their stations by 2.55pm.
A fire service spokesman said that the cause of the fire was deliberate.
